Who Are We? ...snowflakes
Who are we, really? When we're asked who we are, or who someone else is, we almost always begin with their appearances or their professions or their positions in an organization. For example, someone asks me who my best friend is. I would say, "She's an Egyptian-American girl with pretty eyes and a gap between her two front teeth, and she's very tall." Read that description. Is that really who my best friend is? Or is that just what she looks like? There is much, much more to who we are than just our looks. We're all just a bunch of different personalities put into different types of bodies and circumstances. Our favorite foods, our worst fears, our happiest memories, all of that is part of who we are. It's not about looks. It never is. Just because two people are red-headed doesn't mean they will both love potatoes, for example.
