Pink Cupcakes

This apartment complex really ruffles my fur sometimes. I'd like to compose a paragraph completely consisting of endless A's in an endless scream, but that, unfortunately, is not part of formal or memoir writing. Today, so as to preserve your eardrums (for now, at least), I shall keep my feelings inside. In the future, I plan on putting together a post containing results from quizzes concerning my personality. For now, here's one about my assertiveness. Is the word assertivity? Nah. There's a red line under it... According to your answers to this quiz, you appear to have a passive style of relating to others. While this seems to prevent conflict, in the long run you and your relationships may suffer. You may feel like you're getting along with people for a while, but you may feel resentment build up inside and sometimes explode with anger and frustration and not know why, as you allow others' needs to be met before your own. Others may not even realize that you...

Poisonous Manicure

Not only is this blog a formal-writing/story-writing practice area, but also an area to compose lengthy paragraphs which express the way I feel about aspects of life. At the wrong times I think of perfect paragraphs to write, and then I forget everything when I sit at the computer on my... er... 'workdays' with all the time in the world. Sigh. The other day, my sister gave me a manicure on my non-existent nails. My problem is, I hate having long nails, but I want long nails. Basically my fingers are just stubs. Anyway, more than a year ago, my grandmum gave my sister nail polish that our other grandmum wanted to give to us, if that makes any sense. The nail polish is light pink and shimmery. Personally I like darker colors, but pink, man. Ugh I'm so weird. Okay, on to the point. The nail polish is fatal provided you consume it. So, it's actually perfect to wear for those who are nail-nibblers. The polish looks hilarious on my non-existent nails, but at least they make...

Whaaaat

The title is the last thing I said before writing this post. And distractions caused me to forget what I wanted to mention. But anyway, I just remembered, so here we go. Today it snowed. The first snow I experienced in my seven months of life in Texas. Nobody had to go to school today, so I decided to treat them all to a ride in my new Lambo to Dunkin' Donuts. Just kidding. It was too dang cold out there bruh!! And I don't have a Lambo yet. (Note the use of 'yet.') I treated them all to DunkNDonuts instead. I had decided to do these the previous day, but we didn't have yeast. However, when Daddy was out while Sister was beating up the air and punching bags, he called me and asked what type of yeast he needed to buy and all that jazz. BUT, I didn't make them that day because I was cold and lazy (XD) and depressed by the rain. (Seriously, gloomy weather actually gets me baaaad!!) Anyway, I found an awesome recipe, and was about to write all of it down, when I ...

YAAASS

Life has switched gears and made my life better lel. Omg stop using lel in your posts N. And stop using omg. And stop beginning sentences with And. Thanks, second mind. You're right. I made this blog for two reasons: to practice my formal writing skills, and to document my life. For myself. However, there's no harm in reading this if you're nothing but interested. ...just don't stalk me... Moving on. I don't know even what to post here. Nothing happened this week except that some guy came to check on the water, and in Quran class yesterday we had chocolate-filled wafer things. Or maybe things DID happen and I just have a bad memory. ;) I have archery tomorrow (yassss)!!! Much speechless. Why do I use internet lingo on this blog?! It's a formal writing practice site!! I made french toast this mornin'. I'm not really a fan of French toast (maybe because I've had it only on wheat bread, HEHEHE), but the fruit basket was empty. Additionally,...

My Sis is Annoying

Okay, hi! I been feeling bad nowadays cause I been getting bad days nowadays. Eish. (the word of irritation.) Anyhow, my sister is annoying. Really annoying. Unbearable. Mere words cannot describe her annoyingness. I regret to inform you all that the way I feel about my sister can be expressed only in actions, such as kicking a wall one thousand times. Today's post is dedicated to Annoying Sister. However, I am pleased to tell you all that this paragraph will be all I say about her, because why not. Today's weather was in the 40's (Fahrenheit). It rained a little around 5pm. The coldness turned my toes and fingers blue and wrinkly. My body can't properly function without warmth. I mean, that's true for every warm-blooded human, but I prefer heat over cold. I know I said I wasn't going to say anything more about Annoying Sister, but I want to update you on her chocolate business. She sold only 9 out of 30. Bwahahahahah. Hey, I bet if she'd had this chocol...

Giving Chocolate is a Sign of Love

All of y'all know that the previous day was Valentines' Day. Valentines' Day is a strange day. Why only on one day of the year do people show each other their love? Shouldn't they be doing that every day? As I experienced life yesterday, I wondered how Valentines' Day was even invented. And just for fun, I want to research its history and write a little essay on it. Just for fun. When I can. Yes, I'm crazy. V-Day 2015 started out as.... er, well, parents leaving the house to go buy stuff. They came back with lotion and lip balm just for moi!!! Well, 'twas face lotion. Coconut face lotion. Basically for S 'cause S needs a moisturizer. The moisturizer makes our faces really white though. So if any of y'all need healthy makeup for a Halloween ghost costume, buy coconut lotion. S is selling chocolates for $1 each. The money goes towards a speech scholarship, which she can apply for. So far, she hasn't gotten (gahh I need a better word) much custo...

Feliz Navidad

I hate those days when maintenance is supposed to come to the house. They don't say when they'll come, so I'm completely unprepared when I hear a knocking at the door, and I rush to my room and they have to slam the knocker about ten hundred times more before I'm in presentable (not really) attire. Then I open the door and they're all like "I own dis house" and then they glance at me with a face like "Wotchuu lookin' at" when I come and see how and what they're doing. Anyone feel me? Well, today, maintenance came to check out our oven, which burned out on Friday, when I attempted for the first time to make a Chiffon cake with mommy. Let me spill about the cake first. I'd just finished showering, and after all that jazz, y'know, I went to the kitchen to check on the cake. It had about 28 minutes left. I heard a crackling sound coming from inside the oven, and curious, I opened it. Inside, sparks popped and flew in the element of ...

Archery and Stuffs

The masjid clubs resumed again. I'm only taking archery. Calligraphy was too 'sitdownandwritethingsdown' for me. In a nutshell, it was like school. Well, archery is like school too, but it's phys ed school, which I don't regularly get. Archery's in the gym, aka the multipurpose hall, and men and big boys and little boys were all in a conspiracy to ruin our archery session by deliberately throwing balls in our range so that we had no choice but to lower our loaded bows and wait patiently for someone to handle the matter. Just kidding. The multipurpose hall is literally a multipurpose hall, though I prefer to call it a gym. There are cafeteria tables with little round chairs attached to them in the very back of the gym. Cute, right? I thought so too. Anyway, there were so many people attending this year's archery club. I was like srslydoe, are we gonna shoot or nah. I did get to shoot, though, but it was only once and I shared 5 or 6 arrows with Z. My first ...

Good Saturday Morning! Kinda Almost Noon But Whatevs

Yesterday, I went hiking with S and Mum's classmates. 'Twas okay and I didn't get tired surprisingly, but I guess 'cause we stopped at the lake and skipped large flat stones. S found a dead fish. I do wonder what sort of fish this is. I am back about five hours later. Everyone's out of the house except Z, Mum, and moi. I'm waiting for the laundry to be done so I can shower. Anyway, yesterday, after Jumuah, I walked with Hj to the library, and after selecting books, we walked to Hj's house. We had an AMAZING lunch there and an AMAZING dessert. Then at Asr, Hj, her sister Aas, and I walked to the masjid. We were supposed to play basketball there but Mum's classmates changed their mind about it 'cause they were tired after the hike. Hj suggested we just play by ourselves, but then she decided she was tired and we didn't play at all. Anyway doe, we prayed Asr, then Hj's mum came and talked to my mum in the 'auntie' room for a very...
